Boot Camp无法使用的问题解决

我的boot rom是最新的版本，但是启动boot camp时还提示让我更新，几乎翻遍了中英文的帖子，都没有具体的解决办法。后来看到了威风网的一位朋友通过重置PRAM解决了这个问题，我使用了他的这个方法并最终解决了问题。

在Mac上手动更新locate数据

Here’s one of those little things I do frequently, but never remember the command. The ‘locate’ command searches a file name database that is updated weekly (I think the default update time is 4:30 am every Saturday morning, but only if your Mac is switched on then, which mine never is). If you try to run ‘locate’ on a database that isn’t current, files created more recently than the last update will not be found, and deleted files will be found erroneously. To update the database manually use the following command:

sudo /usr/libexec/locate.updatedb

在MAC OS下编译安装LFTP

因为我本人很喜欢LINUX下的小工具,所以很是花了一些时间把我常用的全部搬到MAC上.确实,MAC下也有一些不错的包管理程序(类似于yum和apt-get),但听macfans的版主说会把系统搞乱,所以还是用最古老的编译安装吧:)

1.解决各种依赖关系
首先要安装xcode,之后下载这些包安装,在图中我已经按安装先后顺序排列好了

在安装libgcrypt-1.4.5的过程中如果make时报了以下错误

2.这些都部署好后就可以安装lftp了
编译LFTP时没有遇到任何问题,但是make时会报错,如下

我自己google了一些时间,但是没有找到任何解决办法,期间看到一个老外的发帖,他认为这是一个BUG并且已经提交给官方了.

这次折腾费了不少时间,也让我看清了macOS确实不如一些比较开放的LINUX发行版舒服,虽然大部分软件也都可以移植到MAC中,但花费的时间较长,不如安心的用发行版了.

MAC OS目录结构

正在把开发工作逐渐向MAC转移,和FEDORA大同小异,还是比较容易接受的.

Explained in no particular order:

Directory	Description
/Applications	Self explanatory, this is where your Mac’s applications are kept
/Developer	The Developer directory appears only if you have installed Apple’s Developer Tools, and no surprise, contains developer related tools, documentation, and files.
/Library	Shared libraries, files necessary for the operating system to function properly, including settings, preferences, and other necessities (note: you also have a Libraries folder in your home directory, which holds files specific to that user).
/Network	largely self explanatory, network related devices, servers, libraries, etc
/System	System related files, libraries, preferences, critical for the proper function of Mac OS X
/Users	All user accounts on the machine and their accompanying unique files, settings, etc. Much like /home in Linux
/Volumes	Mounted devices and volumes, either virtual or real, such as hard disks, CD’s, DVD’s, DMG mounts, etc
/	Root directory, present on virtually all UNIX based file systems. Parent directory of all other files
/bin	Essential common binaries, holds files and programs needed to boot the operating system and run properly
/etc	Machine local system configuration, holds administrative, configuration, and other system files
/dev	Device files, all files that represent peripheral devices including keyboards, mice, trackpads, etc
/usr	Second major hierarchy, includes subdirectories that contain information, configuration files, and other essentials used by the operating system
/sbin	Essential system binaries, contains utilities for system administration
/tmp	Temporary files, caches, etc
/var	Variable data, contains files whose contents change as the operating system runs

Firefox does not save tabs on close on Mac OSX

今天发现FF在MAC OSX上运行不正常,症状是无法保存我打开的标签页了,搜索一番,发现了外国友人的解决办法.

My girlfriend recently got herself a shiny new MacBook Pro, and installed Firefox, as that’s her browser of preference. She kept having a problem that her tabs would not be saved when she closed Firefox, and asked me to look into it.

All the settings under Preferences were OK, so the problem was not with the settings. Likewise, the relevant settings under about:config were set correctly. We tried deleting prefs.js, but that didn’t help either.

Then, as a last-ditch attempt, I tried closing Firefox using the option on the menu bar. I then got the beloved question “Do you want Firefox to save your tabs”. I clicked yes, then restarted Firefox. All the tabs were reloaded. I then used the red X in the upper right-hand corner, the opened Firefox, and the tabs were not reloaded.

I registered the bug with Mozilla (bug #544880), and it seems like this is not so much a bug, as the way Firefox is handled in Mac OS X; when you use the red “x”-button, it does not shut down Firefox, but rather closes the window in question.
